Our Mission
The Curtis-Jones Foundation is a family-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to amplifying the impact of organizations serving vulnerable and underserved youth. Through awards, in-kind support, and strategic partnerships, we provide the tools to strengthen community programs, expand access to resources, and create lasting opportunities for vulnerable and underserved youth to build bright and productive futures.
Bobbie and Pearl Martin
Our Legacy - A Legacy of Service
Growing up in a small country town in Texas, we often lived off the land. Bobbie and Pearl had a modest home where they raised cows, chickens, and maintained a vegetable garden. Many days were spent gathering eggs from the chicken coop and picking vegetables to prepare meals for the family. Pearl worked as a maid, while Bobbie worked at the local feed store. Although they did not have much, they were always willing to help others and open their home to families in need.
That same spirit of service continued through Pearl’s daughter, Jerline, who raised a large family while also caring for relatives and serving their community and church. Their home was always full of people, love, and support. Jerline taught her children the value of serving others and the joy that comes from being a blessing to those around you.
Through the legacy of Pearl, Bobbie, and Jerline seeds were planted that led to the establishment of The Curtis-Jones Foundation — continuing a family tradition rooted in compassion, service, empowerment, and transforming lives.
